Julien and Alexandra bought this old building in the village of Lagrasse opposite the Corbières mountain range in 2007. This former coaching inn which was transformed into a manor house comprising a main building, outhouses and a terrace, was the perfect size for the young couple who lovingly developped their hotel-restaurant.
Over several years Alexandra and Julien renovated the 500m2 building whilst respecting its original essence. They renovated the restaurant, created a reception, a bar, a lounge area, and refurbished the shower rooms and bedrooms in a contemporary style.
On the ground floor, they have taken great care to conserve the floor tiles in the restaurant, preserve the decorated tiles in the lounge and entrance hall and have given a new lease of life to the majestic staircase made of Armissan stone (vernacular material from the small village of Armissan near Narbonne) which leads to the first floor.
Steeped in history, the manor house boasts old wooden flooring in six of the rooms, high ceilings, moudings from a bygone era and an ornate marble fireplace.
The terrace (40 covers) leading from the restaurant which features exposed stone walls, offers a panoramic view over the Corbières landscape.
This boutique hotel blends classic historic charm with modern finishes and affords everything you could want for a relaxing break.
